Haven't played it too many times, but try mixing up some strategies, and see which one works best for you.
(and thank you for putting up a good thread, we've had so many spam ones)
Hiya I find the best strategy is to immediately place a single digger to generate funds in the second row. Then with the funds buy goats to place on the back row to shoot the attackers. If you are lucky enough to get two or more attackers coming down a single channel you will easily stay on top of the situation. If not you may need the king to help you out one time but that's no big deal. If you build up enough money you can place additional diggers in the second line before completing the back line of goats ... although this is risky. Once you've weathered the initial attackers complete a back line of goats and a line of diggers in front of them. With the money you can buy either chickens or pigs or blacksmiths. The longer you wait the more expensive and powerful the defenders you can place in the third row. Place them in response to the more serious attackers initially (the guys with long handled axes are particularly vicious). You should then continue with a second powerful defender in the fourth row, digger in the fifth row and bales in the sixth row. Build these up a column at a time. The extra digger will generate more money for you to build subsequent columns. Once you have all squares covered it's just a matter of gathering up the money and replacing bales in the sixth row and the occasional digger who might get killed in the fifth row. It's best to have cheaper expendable assets in front as they can be replaced at a lower cost. This means the diggers often get a pasting but can be quickly replaced to create funds for your war effort. If you get good you can anticipate when the bales fail and have one standing by to halt the advance of the attackers, thereby minimising the impact of the breach. See if you can get £990 (at which point you can get no more). If this happens be ready with a new bale to replace ones that are destroyed. Simples! Enjoy ian :)
First put in the cheat code Gold. Start by collecting coins until you can buy a farmer, then put one in the back row. Next, collect coins until you have enough to build a goat, then wait until a bad guy comes and put the goat in the second row in that file. Keep doing this until you have four goats across. Next build farmers across the whole back row. When this is done, you will collect lots of coins. Save them until you have enough for a blacksmith. Put two rows of blacksmiths in front of the goats. Next put another row of goats in the first row, these are cheap and easily replaceable if they get killed. You can replace the second row of goats with pigs if you want. Now just collect coins and replace anybody who gets killed and you will win easy.
What do you think?
