However, I highly disagree with that. Why would they have two thirds of a book? Especially with that big cliffhanger at the end of Desolation of Smaug? And There and Back Again was written in the fine print which may imply that it is in the game. And the deletion of Cheetah and Lady Deathstrike has proven that news sites have been wrong before.

<p>Per Berrybrick. Also remember that originally there were only going to be two Hobbit movies. I would imagine that level planning is one of the earliest steps in the game development, so the number and order of levels might have been planned before Peter Jackson wanted a third movie. If the game only includes An Unexpected Journey and Desolation of Smaug I believe it will include the main events at the end of the Hobbit which will be found in the There And Back Again film; they will just be grouped in with Desolation of Smaug.

79001_Escape_from_Mirkwood_Spiders and
79004_Barrel_Escape were not meant to be "Hobbit Trilogy Preview sets" as they were marked in the catalogs, but sets reflecting events which were to appear in An Unexpected Journey. The first film was going to end following the Barrel Escape. However, Peter Jackson decided he needed three films because of everything he wanted to have in the saga. The sets had already been planned, thus LEGO just released them even though they weren't going to be in the film. Note I can't prove this theory but it seems rather logical.
