I was wondering this earlier, will there ever be another pirate theme? It doesn't seem like there will be any coming in 2014, and the last pirate theme, Pirates of the Carribean, hasn't released sets for a while. There is however another movie coming out in 2015, but will Lego make any based on the movie? In my opinion, I think they should just ditch the Pirates of the Carribean theme and start out fresh with a new one because one, the Pirates of the Carribean theme barely lasted, and two, it would be awkward because the only thing I can imagine Lego doing is re-designing the old sets. Again, just starting out with a new story would be best. I do want there still to be a Pirate theme, but it may take a while.

LEGO could very well do a new Pirates theme, though it seems more likely that they'll do more POTC, unfortunately. No pirate theme, licensed or unlicensed, is currently announced, though. Hey, at least we got that The LEGO Movie pirate ship for now. :P

Well I would much rather have Brickbeard than a Lego Jack Sparrow, but it did never occur to me that the Lego Movie has Metalbeard.

Maybe there could be a storyline like, "Once there was a great pirate named Captin' Beard Face. But when he dies, only his son can take his place!" and his son could be like, a really bad pirate and the story could follow him becoming a better pirate.

Metalbeard's the newest pirate in the LEGO universe that I can think of. Why not make a theme based on him?
