Because a step is too hard you just skip the step. But the set still looks complete. For example: I opened my one of my Lego boxes and skipped a few steps because I could not understand what to do or they break easily if I try. I finally did a 7+ set in less than a day.

@Bertieberesuffersfuffersford Have you even tried the "shimmer sparkle and spa" from Lego Movie 2 the second part? I could not find one of my mini figures so I had to skip Archimedes because I did not have him or her. Also I kept breaking the middle tower high pieces and it was not worth rebuilding. They also had too many 6270424 pieces that I could not put 3 on each side of the tiny towers.
OK I saw what I did wrong. I accidently did not put the purple pieces on the towers to make space. But I still need to make some corrections on my set.
