<p>They (no pictures) were posted on a toyshop's website. They seem to be based on Guardians of the Galaxy, not X-men.

<p>That's adding a small thing to a game, not increasing the size of an already large toyline and messing up their schedule. If they are going to do it, they will and a little push will have no effect if they won't. However, it ultimately it boils down to what Disney wants them to do. LEGO doesn't have as much freedom here as it does with City or Castle. Disney has to approve everything, always gets the last word, and can have the first if they want it.
</p><p>I really don't care if we get sets based on the movie or not, to be honest. I couldn't stand the first movie, so I'm not really on board for the next 3+. Besides, the USM sets, as mediocre as they usually are, have much more potential than movie ones. I'd rather have Iron Fist, Nick Fury, Venom, and Dr. Doom than Lizard, Rhino, and Gwen Stacey.

<p>It's too late. :P They like to take around a year and a half with the design process when they can, more if possible (which is why movie sets often end up being so inaccurate in most cases).
</p><p>Besides, they would compete with the USM sets (why do you think one of them comes with Electro?) and Marvel is already getting more than 7 sets this year.

<p>The most accepted theory I have seen is that they are only releasing lines that can hold their own against TLM (which is why we aren't seeing Chima or Hero Factory) and won't steal sales from it (Star Wars).
</p><p>Of course this doesn't answer everything. DC but not Marvel? Wouldn't some City sets threaten a few TLM ones (or vice versa)?
</p><p>(Edit: Now that I think about it, the DC sets all revolve around Batman and he seems to be a pretty big character in the movie, so maybe that's why. And then I guess that City has a bunch of drones buying up all the police stuff on site anyway, but I'm sure there are still arguments against this theory.)
</p><p>But it's not that big of a deal. Some countries take way more than three months to get the sets. Besides, we'll have images of Summer sets by the time they are released (via ToyFair) so it'll be easier to decide what you really want.
