The Oin minifigure has tan short legs, and a brown torso piece. The torso has printing present on the front, depicting a big brown belt with various straps attched to it. The hands are dark grey and the headpiece is flesh-coloured. The headpiece features black eyes with white pupils, bushy grey eyebrows and there is some dark skin colour for the outlining of facial features. Oin also has a new hair/beard piece that is grey and has a long white mustache. This piece is currently excluve to Oin. Oin also comes with other accessories- a battle club.

Background

Oin became a member of Thorin and Company and he befriended Bilbo Baggins & travelled with the company on the quest for the Lonely Mountain (Erebor). He was one of the thirteen Dwarves of the Blue Mountains who set out to reclaim the Lonely Mountain from Smaug, under the leadership of Thorin Oakenshield. Oin did little to distinguish himself during the Dwarves's adventures in the wild, though he shared the same array of experiences as the others of the Company: captured in turn by Trolls, Goblins, Spiders and Elves, they eventually reached the distant Lonely Mountain and recovered it for the Longbeards.Oin and his brother Gloin were icredibly skilled in fire lighting.

He fought in, survived the Battle of the Five Armies, and later settled in the Lonely Mountain where he probably became rich and prosperous. Forty-eight years later, he went to Moria with Balin and others, to recover the realm for the dwarves of Durin's Folk. Oin went off on his own to seek Third Deep and then turned back to the West-gate of Moria or the Hollin gate where he sigle handedly fought the Watcher in the Water which soon killed him. Oin also fought in the battle of Azanulbizar.

Notes

  • His combined beard/hair piece is exclusive to him.
