10228 Haunted House is a Monster Fighters set released on September 1, 2012. It includes 2064 pieces, making it the theme's largest set (although a bit smaller than the Vampyre Castle in dimensions). It is intended for ages 14+. It contains the minifigures Lord Vampyre, Zombie Chef, Vampyre's Bride, two Ghosts, and the Zombie Butler. The Zombie chef and Zombie Butler are exclusive to the set.
Description[]
The set consists of three parts: the gate, the massive mansion, and the six minifigures.
- The Gate
The Gate is made of two essentially symmetrical sections, joined together. Each is built on a light grey 2X10 brick, and features two raised pillars. The inner one is taller than the outer, and is made of a five-brick high stack of 1X1 bricks, three of which have clips moulded into them. One of the bricks at the top of the pillar features realistic brick moulding. Two of the clipped bricks face outwards, towards the other section, and one faces inward. The outward-facing bricks have attached into them a black gate piece. The two pieces attached to the two halves together form a full gate. The clip brick on the inward-facing section of the pillar has attached into it a different, barred gate piece, which covers the length of the base-brick, until it reaches the second pillar, into which it is attached. For its part, the second pillar is made of just three pieces, a "warped" design 1X2, a 1X2 with clip in it, and a sloped black element. This part of the set is built with Bag #5.
The Mansion
The big mansion measures 15.4" (39cm) high, 9.4" (24cm) wide and 7.5" (19cm) deep. It consists of three floors. lt's a little bit smaller than Vampyre Castle, but its box is larger because of the higher piece count.
The first and second floors are the kitchen, an empty living room (possibly furniture was removed due to hauntings), office for writing letters, and a bedroom with paintings, lamps, a skull of a deer on the walls, a human heart in a display case and a closet. Also a green plant. The kitchen had an oven, stoves, and a very large table with a bottle, a jar and a large cauldron cooking a snake. Also had a large grey old spider web, maybe there was a refrigerator where the spider web is. The floor of the first floor was very cracked and ruined. Also, there was a fireplace. The office also had a small table with a glass and a bottle. The bedroom and office also had paintings on the wall of Lord Vampyre, the werewolf, the mummy, Crazy Scientist's monster and Zombie Bride.
The third floor was the attic, which included many details like knight's helmet, old - style gun, chest with top hat, music player (gramophone), CDs, newspapers, skull, bone in glass and more bottles and jars. Also included a crate for the cds and newspapers, barrel for the helmet and a staircase leading from the second floor to the attic.

Notes[]
- Crazy Scientist's Monster has a cameo on a picture in the set, as well as The Mummy, The Werewolf, and the Zombie Bride.
- The is also a picture of Lord Vampyre himself.
- Apparently Lord Vampyre writes a letter in his office. Presumably in the other monsters to start a hunt for the Moonstones to eclipse the Sun.
- This is the only set not to include a Monster Fighter, besides the polybags, as well as being the only full-sized set that doesn't include a moonstone.
- This set has the most monsters out of all the sets, at six.
- The box states that the monsters in the sets are The Dwellers of the Haunted House.
- The mansion bears a striking resemblance to Disneyland Paris's Phantom Manor.
- Vampyre's Bride is only in this set and the Vampyre Castle.
- The Haunted House measures 15.4" (39cm) high, 9.4" (24cm) wide, and 7.5" (19cm) deep.
