The 1978 Police Officer,[1] named Police Officer Primo,[2] is a Town minifigure originally released in 1978. He was later rereleased as a Minifigures Series 18 minifigure in 2018. He is notable for being the very first Minifigure ever made.[3]
Description[]
The 1978 Police Officer wears a black police uniform with white buttons and a white police badge; the original 1978 minifigure had this torso decoration as a sticker, while it was updated to modern printing in 2018. He wears a white police hat with no extra markings. His flesh tone is yellow, and his facial expression is a simple smile. In his hand, he carries a box of the LEGO set 600 Police Car.
Background[]
Primo appears in LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed as a tank with the abilities "Speeding Ticket", "Serve & Protect", "Calling for Backup!", "I Got Your Back, Partner!", and the Ultimate ability "Calling Small Cars". He is unlockable through the "I Fought the Law" event.

“It’s been forty years, but I haven’t aged a day!” Here he is, the famous minifigure who started it all! The friendly Police Officer was one of the very first modern LEGO® Minifigures from the first three LEGO Play Themes of Town, Castle, and Space. He’s even got a mini version of the box from his classic LEGO set. What an amazing adventure he’s had! The 1978 Police Officer may have replaced his original torso sticker with a painted uniform, and his little Town may have grown up into a giant LEGO City, but he’s still the same smiling character that kids were playing and building with 40 years ago. He couldn’t be happier than he is at this party that all of the other minifigures are throwing to celebrate his birthday. Will you discover this hard-to-find fellow in your next LEGO Minifigures bag? |

A tactical support unit that controls the flow of combat. Primo is a traffic cop who's willing to go rogue in the name of justice... assuming, of course, that all aforementioned rogue-going is in strict accordance with his LEGO police manual.
