2539 Batwing Flyer is a Shell promotional set of the Fright Knights subtheme the set was released in 1998. The set contained a flying machine and Basil the Bat Lord.

Basil is equipped with a long silver sword and a staff with bat at its tip.
A similar flying machine was featured in 2848 Fright Knights Flying Machine.
The wings of the machine are large bat wings, which can also be found in several Dragon Masters and Ninja sets.
This set was number 5 out of 10 in its series.
