- This set bears resemblance to the games of foosball and table hockey.
- The set lacked key components of a hockey rink, including the bench, a penalty box, and the crease.
- The minfigures included are based on the NHL All Star Game Uniforms from 1993.
- The set included a sticker sheet featuring the then 30 NHL franchises' logos to customize the figures.
