|LEGO → System → Disney Princess|
41067 Belle's Enchanted Castle is a set in the Disney Princess line that was released on August 1, 2016. It is the first ever LEGO set to be produced based on Disney's hit 1991 animated film Beauty and the Beast.
The majority of this set is one large build representing the Beast's castle, as it appears in Beauty and the Beast. It appears to be based on the way the castle looks after the spell had been lifted at the end of the film.
The exterior of the palace is fairly simple, featuring towers, golden gates that open into the palace, a flowerbed, and a balcony. The stained glass window featuring Belle and her prince dancing can also be viewed from the front side of the palace.
The interior of the palace includes several rooms and playable details. The most prominent of these is the rotating piece on the ballroom floor that allows Belle and the Beast to dance. A chandelier even hangs overhead, just as it does in the movie. Other rooms include Belle's bedroom, the kitchen, and the West Wing. Also portrayed is the library (on a pillar piece) with a removable book for Belle to read, and the portrait of the prince (complete with torn bits from the Beast's claws). The portrait rotates to reveal the prince's hair, which can be placed on his head after the Beast's headpiece is removed. Finally, a large dinner table (for that rousing "Be Our Guest" sequence) can be placed inside or outside of the palace. If you remove the cakes from the table, you reveal yet another spinning brick that allows the enchanted objects of the palace to dance about on the table.
A variety of fun accessories are included. Belle's book is one. The dining room table is also covered in scrumptious treats. The Beast's rose and magical mirror are the most prominent accessories in the West Wing. If you open Belle's wardrobe, you will find a golden tiara for her to wear.
The set is also packed with characters. Belle and the Beast make their first appearances in mini-doll form. Also included are five brick-built figures: Lumiere (the candelabra), Cogsworth (the clock), Fifi (the feather-duster), Chef Bouche (the stove), and the Wardrobe. Mrs. Potts is also present as a teapot piece with printing on it. Chip is represented similarly by a mug with printing on it. Both Chip and Mrs. Potts ride on the serving cart upon which they are often seen in the film.
