T-16 Skyhopper is a set released in 2003 as part of the Classic Star Wars line. Included is a Skyhopper Pilot minifigure. It has 96 pieces.
Description
The T-16 Skyhopper is a medium-sized set, with a large dorsal fin and two wings on the sides, giving it a triangular appearance. The wings can be moved up or down and the fin on top conceals a secret compartment. It comes with a single pilot and no cockpit canopy. Below the cockpit is a rod representing a repeating blaster.
Background
T-16 Skyhoppers were quick and agile, if not armoured. They were often used as training vehicles by the Rebel Alliance. Luke Skywalker owned one on Tatooine, which he used to hunt Womp Rats as target practice. It had a fully pressurized cockpit, allowing the pilot to fly at extremely high altitudes.
Notes
- Parts 3038pb02, 3037px3, 3037px4 and 30249px1 are exclusive to this set.
- The set has no cockpit canopy, while the actual T-16 does.
