5702 LEGO Chess is a LEGO video game that was released in 1998 exclusively for the PC. There are three different venues to play in; the player can choose to play chess with a Western theme (Cavalry and Indians), a Pirates theme (Imperial Guards and Pirates), or with a traditional chess theme. The player can choose between what side they are on. Each theme also had its own storyline to go with purposeful chess matches for competition. Some of the copies of the game came with the 2586 LEGO Chess Promotional Set.

Notes

  • The game was originally intended to have Castle as a theme along with Western, Pirates, and traditional chess, but Castle was cut due to time restraints.
  • Oddly, on some computers, even if this game's disc is inserted into your computer's disc drive, it will give you an error message saying that it needs to be inserted first. There was an official patch that allows users to fix this problem, on Windows XP and higher.
