5705 LEGO Racers is a LEGO racing video game developed by High Voltage Software and published by LEGO Media, released for Nintendo 64 in 1999. It is mostly the same as the Microsoft Windows and Nintendo 64 versions, with some minor differences; for more detailed general information on the game, see 5704 LEGO Racers.
Console Differences[]
Control by analog sticks is not supported. It also has relatively long loading times compared to the PC and Nintendo 64 versions. Like the Nintendo 64 port, its graphical output is slightly below the PC version's smoothness.
The physics also make no distinction between motorcars according to the placement and number of their bricks, a feature that it shares with the Nintendo 64 port and the 2001 revision of the Windows version.
In the PlayStation version, the soundtracks for "Dark Forest Dash" and "Royal Knights Raceway" are switched with each other, compared to the Microsoft Windows PC and Nintendo 64 versions.
The soundtrack when the player does not finish in 1st place on the console versions plays the same soundtrack from Nintendo 64 version, but a different soundtrack compared to the Microsoft Windows PC version.
