5970 Freeze Ray Frenzy was released in May of 2009 as part of the Space Police III line. Included are Kranxx and Space Police III Officer minifigures, along with a stop sign and traffic light. The set features a large flame piece that comes out of the thruster of Kranxx's speeder bike, as well as two flick-fire based freeze ray launchers on the Ray Bike.
Notes
- This set was originally scheduled for release in August, but was released early by LEGO in May 2009.
- The set also includes an new and improved flame piece on Kranxx's vehicle, which is large, transparent, and multicolored.
- Kranxx's entire body is made up of new pieces, and the head has been recolored in the 5981 Raid VPR set as a lime green shade for the character Rench.
- This set was included in the Product Collections set 2853300 Space Police Collection.
