649 Mercedes Shell Tanker was a set released in 1966 as a part of System i Leg's subtheme, HO 1:87 Vehicles. It contains a yellow truck with a Shell petrol tank.

- The Shell Logo on the side was seen, in different printing of the set, as either Shell and SHELL.
- This mercedes truck was also used for set 650 Mercedes Esso Tanker, the difference being the colours were changed and the logo.
- This was one of the first ever licensed Shell sets.
- This truck was also included in 699 Truck Assortment.
