6780 XT Starship is a Classic Space set released in 1986. It contains a Spaceship and a Yellow Astronaut minifigure. It also features light and sound pieces.

Description

This was one of the last sets of Classic Space and its release coincided with the introduction of Futuron. It already has the Futuron colorscheme but includes a yellow minifigure still with the old uniform and a visorless helmet.

The cockpit section could be detached from the aft section. Also a smaller probe module usually stored in the middle of the aft section could be detached. Unfortunately the cockpit and the probe could not be combined.

Together with 6750 Sonic Robot and 6783 Sonar Transmitting Cruiser, this was the first Space set that included a 9V battery box and Light & Sound bricks.
