6982 Explorien Starship is an Exploriens set released in 1996. It consists of a large starship and a small rover with robot arms.
Description[]
The Explorien Starship is the largest Exploriens set. The front section has a viewscreen in the center and control panels on either side with individual windows below which are thrusters. It attaches to the cockpit. It has ample space inside. The roof is made of a few movable pieces as well as a section which can be lifted up. This part has a satellite array on it. The rear end of this section has a pair of arms, with one having a magnet and the other having a pair of trans red and trans blue discs. There are three boosters under the rear. The cockpit has a control panel and Exploriens logo, and a joystick. It connects to the front section by a pin and socket system to prevent it from falling off. It also has a storage space for a scanner. The rearmost section is connected by a pin system that secures it in place. On top of this section is a large rotating laser cannon. It is covered by a pair of plates, each of which has two lasers and an Exploriens logo. They can be removed to reveal the laser. On either end of there is a with with a laser, a magnetic sticker, and a thruster.
In addition to the main ship, the set includes a two-wheeled land vehicle. The front has a pair of lasers which are at the same level as the wheels (to prevent it from being imbalanced). The cockpit has a windshield which opens at the front and a steering wheel. There is an arm on either side of the cockpit. One arm has a laser and a magnet, while the other has a scanner, a hand, and a light/laser. The vehicle connects to the back of the ship.
