Trivia
- This set features both Lloyd and Cole with hairpieces and the Techno robes masks.
- This is the second set to feature Cole in his ghost form, and the second Skybound set to feature Lloyd with his hairpiece.
- The same body for Cole was used for two other minifigures: one with a ghost head and hood in 70604 Tiger Widow Island, and one with a regular head and hood in 70599 Cole's Dragon.
- The other set to feature Lloyd with a head piece lacked a mask but came with a large black chest armor piece in 70605 Misfortune's Keep, while the same body used for these figures was released (with a hood) in 70601 Sky Shark.
- The Cyren figure released in this set was also released in a foil bag with an issue of LEGO Ninjago Magazine and with a scabbard in 70602 Jay's Elemental Dragon.
- Doubloon was also released-with armor instead of epaulettes-in 70603 Raid Zeppelin, while Bucko also appeared in 30421 Pirate Plane, 70599 Cole's Dragon, and 70605 Misfortune's Keep.
- This is the 5th elemental dragon released as a standard set; it was preceded by 70503 The Golden Dragon, 70734 Master Wu Dragon, 70736 Attack of the Morro Dragon, and 70748 Titanium Dragon.
