Background

In Tales from the Monastery of Spinjitzu, the Earth Driller reappears after a lengthy absence, with Cole receiving a distress call from Kryptarium Prison while out driving in it.

In March of the Oni, Cole rides in the Earth Driller with Zane and P.I.X.A.L. to an important ceremony, but they become stuck in traffic. Unable to continue without drilling through the road and causing damage, the trio abandon the vehicle and travel to the docks on foot. Later, Cole summons the Earth Driller in order to escape the darkness-filled Ninjago City, and makes his way to the Monastery of Spinjitzu. The Omega later blasts the Earth Driller off the monastery mountain.

• The updated Warrior and Giant Stone Warrior are all exclusive to this set. Cole also appears in 70662 Spinjitzu Cole; Kai appears in 70659 Spinjitzu Kai, 70667 Kai's Blade Cycle & Zane's Snowmobile, and 70680 Monastery Training; and both appear in 70670 Monastery of Spinjitzu. The Scout (now with longer legs) was later included in 71702 Golden Mech.
