71017 The LEGO Ninjago Movie Series is a series of Minifigures to be released in August 2017. It is based on characters from The LEGO Ninjago Movie. The movie was released on September 22, 2017.
Description[]
Each minifigure was sold individually in opaque polybags and came with a selection of accessories, a special display stand, and a paper checklist. The packaging was intended to make the minifigure a person bought random.

- This is the second series to have 20 figures after the 71017 The LEGO Batman Movie Series minifigures.
- This series is part of a select few mainline Minifigures series that are based on non-Lego properties- the rest being 71004 The LEGO Movie Series, 71005 The Simpsons Series, 71009 The Simpsons Series 2, 71012 Disney Series, and 71017 The LEGO Batman Movie Series.
- The lineup consists of 2 versions of Lloyd (ninja and civilian), 3 versions of Garmadon (flashback, pajamas, and regular), and 4 people in Garmadon's army.
- This Minifigures seres has a gender ratio of 1:3.
- This is the first Minifigures series to include a Stud Shooter as an accessory which is Shark Army Octopus.
- Sushi Chef is the only minifigure in this series that doesn't have a name since the Panda Guy from 71004 The LEGO Movie Series.
- Like the LEGO Movie series, all of the minifigures from this series are present in The LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game with the exception of a standard Garmadon and a hooded Lloyd.
- The Bat-nerd GPL Tech from this series doesn't appear in the film, but she appears in the video game.
