7128 Speeder Bikes is a 90 piece Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi set released in 1999 for $10.00. It includes Luke Skywalker and 2 Scout Troopers.

Description

The set includes two 74-Z Military Speeder bikes and a tree. The speeder bikes have a brown base colour, with skis on the bottom, attached with a 1x4 plate and a 1x2 brick. Two triangular pieces attached to long "gun" elements serve as steering vanes. Each bike also contains a grey backpack, which connects on to a brown brick with a jumper plate. The tree is mostly brown, with small leaves running up the trunk and large leaf on the top.

Background

Biker Scouts were used to patrol the perimeter of the Imperial Shield Generator Bunker. They were excellent speeder bike pilots and many had raced speeder bikes in their childhood. However, they underestimated the primitive Ewoks, who beat them at the Battle of Endor.

This set is based on two scenes in the Return of the Jedi film: Luke's pursuit of a scout trooper on a bike, and his destruction of the other with his lightsaber.
