The set X-Wing Fighter was the first set to be released on the Star Wars line. It was sold at $29.99 USD, but also saw a re-release in 2002. It features the eponymous X-Wing, as well as a Utility Train that contained 6 tools. Also included were R2-D2, Luke Skywalker (Rebel Pilot) with a Lightsaber, Biggs Darklighter, and a Rebel Mechanic minifigures.
Notes
- This X-Wing Fighter appeared on the front of a LEGO catalog.
- The instruction booklet had a mini comic at the end that shows Luke crash on Dagobah similar to the same event from The Empire Strikes Back when Luke goes to start training with Yoda. The only thing different was that Biggs and the Rebel Mechaninc were there to save him. There were alternate creations for the X-wing. One that looked like a distinctive Rebel Snowspeeder, another one that could be held like a handle, and another one that looks similar to a jetski.
- This set was re-released as 7142 X-Wing Fighter.
