7204 Jedi Defense II is a Star Wars set released in 2002 for $6.99. It features an opening door.
Description[]
The set contains Qui-Gon Jinn's first variation, a pair of Battle Droids (one a Commander and the other a security droid) and an opening blast door. The blast door is made up of light and dark greys with some beige pieces at the top and bottom. The door can be "opened" by pulling the door section up and out. Qui-Gon Jinn has a brown cape and legs with long hair, a mustache and and torso with printings of a Jedi tunic. The droids are tan, with the commander sporting yellow markings and the security droid's body in dark red and red printing on its head.
Background[]
Qui-Gon Jinn and his Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi were attacked by battle droids while on a Trade Federation battle cruiser. Qui-Gon had to cut through the blast doors to get to the bridge of the ship, but in doing so he and Obi-Wan were attacked by a squadron of Security Battle Droids.
Notes[]
- This was the first set to contain a Security Battle Droid and Battle Droid Commander. The first versions of these minifigures were more accurate to the Star Wars universe design than some of the subsequent variants, as they had head markings, and markings on their bodies as opposed to their body being one colour.
