Background
The UT-60D, also known as the U-wing, was a transport/gunshipmodel manufactured by Incom Corporation and used by the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War. Used to drop troops into battle, and provide cover fire for them, U-wings featured at least one side door which could also be used as a veiwport for a mounted blaster cannon. The wings of the UT-60D were retractable and could be positioned forward-facing or backward-facing depending on the situation.
Trivia
- The set is based on the upcoming movie Rogue One.
- Unlike many other Wing ships, the U-Wing is not a starfighter, but a dropship.
