75226 Inferno Squad Battle Pack is a Star Wars set released in 2019 based on the Star Wars Battlefront II video game.

Background[]

Inferno Squad, or simply Inferno, was an Imperial special forces commando unit commanded by Iden Versio during the Galactic Civil War. Inferno was first commissioned to infiltrate and destroy the Dreamers, an extremist group composed of former members of Saw Gerrera's Partisans that were not present with Saw on Jedha after the Battle of Yavin. They were later utilized again by Admiral Garrick Versio, father of Iden, as part of Operation: Cinder of the secret Contingency when he received a Messenger after the Battle of Endor. When Operation: Cinder targeted Vardos, Iden and Del Meeko went rogue and defected to the New Republic. Gideon Hask, however, remained with Garrick and the Empire.

Notes[]

  • Two of the unnamed Inferno Squad agents are likely meant to represent Del Meeko and Gideon Hask, two other squadmates of Iden Versio. However, the fourth Inferno Squad agent is an older male, as opposed to the fourth member in Star Wars canon, the young female Seyn Marana.
  • This is the third LEGO set to be based on a canonical Star Wars video game, after 75133 Rebels Battle Pack and 75134 Galactic Empire Battle Pack which are based off the 2015 Star Wars Battlefront game.
