8200 Radiator Springs Lightning McQueen is a Cars set released in May 2011. The set includes 35 pieces that make up Lightning McQueen and a cone.
Description[]
The Radiator Springs Lightning McQueen is a system car made out of 33 pieces. As with all the other system Lightning McQueen variants, this variant is exclusive to the set. The difference to this variant of Lightning McQueen from the variant in 8487 Flo's V8 Café is the colour of 1x4 bricks that help to connect on the side panels. While in this set the bricks are light grey, in Flo's V8 Café, they are dark grey.
Background[]
At the start of Cars, Lightning McQueen was very self-centered. On a road trip, he accidentally arrived in Radiator Springs and had to fix the road he broke by mistake. During this time, McQueen changed, and the other cars in Radiator Springs began to like him. He got repainted by Ramone to his Radiator Springs version.
Notes[]
- The set includes a cone made from two pieces.
- There was a teaser of this set in a LEGO magazine.
