A Painful Promise is the one hundred and eighty-sixth episode of Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu
Plot [ ] At the Monastery of Spinjitzu , Skylor and Pixal continue their desperate efforts to keep Nya frozen until the Ninja can return with Aspheera's staff . Wu , meanwhile, is forced to keep Aspheera at the monastery, as her boredom leads her first to discover the now powerless Golden Weapons before threatening to leave. Wu is able to convince her to stay by engaging her in a series of absurd contests, which Aspheera wins handily. The Ninja arrive just as Nya is about to melt down, but upon receiving her staff Aspheera promptly begins attacking them.
An alarm interrupts the battle by showing the combatants that the Ninjago Police have arrived, and Aspheera is persuaded to fulfill their original agreement in exchange for being shown an escape route. As she begins to drain Nya's power, the New Ninja break into the vehicle bay, forcing Lloyd and the others into a battle with them. Nya's sheer amount of power proves difficult for Aspheera to cope with, and the effort results in a wave of energy being released across Ninjago. Nya is restored to human form, and Lloyd helps Aspheera to the secret escape route before being taken into custody along with the other Ninja.
Nya awakens after the others have been taken away, with the boys feeling they have done the right thing in spite of the laws broken. Back at her pyramid in the Desert of Doom , Aspheera bemoans the loss of her powers, but is unexpectedly presented with a new staff. Its deliverer, a Crystal Spider , then projects a hologram of a mysterious masked figure, who offers Aspheera a spot on the Council of the Crystal King . Offered a chance to pursue her favorite pastime-revenge-Aspheera eagerly accepts the offer.
