"And here’s a little ditty my ol’ granddad taught me!"
―Bagpiper

The Bagpiper is a Collectable Minifigure released in 2012 as one of the sixteen minifigures from 8831 Minifigures Series 7. He has leg printing of socks, a new Tam o' Shanter cap, a headpiece with serious expression and white eyebrows printed on it, a new kilt part, and a unique printed bagpipe piece.

Description[]

The Bagpiper has white legs with some small green diamonds, and a portion of his yellow legs. His torso displays a fairly formal black suit, with a black vest, a white shirt, and a green tie. In between his legs and torso is attached a kilt piece, with tartan printing. His arms are black, and his hands yellow. His yellow face is printed with bushy grey eyebrows, and he wears a Tam o' Shanter cap on his head, printed with a mostly red tartan design. He carries a bagpipe, which is mainly printed with green plaid, but with unprinted black mouthpiece and pipes.

“And here’s a little ditty my ol’ granddad taught me!"
Bagpiping runs in the Bagpiper’s blood. His father played the bagpipes, and so did his grandfather, his great-grandfather and their grandfathers before them, all the way back to the day the beloved musical instrument first arrived in Scotland.

He’s played his pipes for weddings, marches, wrestling matches and haggis-eating contests (he’s also played them at chess tournaments and libraries, but for some reason his enthusiastic performances didn’t go over so well then). Other musical styles may come and go, but the Bagpiper knows in his heart that the bagpipes will last forever!
