Bullroarer was the ancestor of [[Bilbo Baggins]] on his mother's side, and was renowned as a Hobbit so tall that he was able to ride a full-sized horse. He led his fellow Hobbits in the Battle of Greenfields, where he charged the [[Orc]] chieftain Golfgrim and knocked his head off with a club. According to legend, the head landed in a nearby rabbit hole, bringing an end to the battle and purportedly inspiring the game of golf.

History

Bullroarer was the ancestor of Bilbo Baggins on his mother's side, and was renowned as a Hobbit so tall that he was able to ride a full-sized horse. He led his fellow Hobbits in the Battle of Greenfields, where he charged the Orc chieftain Golfgrim and knocked his head off with a club. According to legend, the head landed in a nearby rabbit hole, bringing an end to the battle and purportedly inspiring the game of golf.
