Benjamin Bones[1] is a Knights' Kingdom minifigure introduced in 2000.
Description[]
Benjamin Bones is a generic skeleton, with the same white body, ball-jointed arms, and printed skull face as all other skeletons since their debut in 1995. Benjamin has no distinguishing features according to page 4 of the King Leo's Castle instruction booklet, although the set's box art and instruction booklet page 40 both depict him wearing a black Mini Knights Helmet, appearing just like a Skeleton Soldier; however, he does not wear this helmet in 2200946 Knights' Kingdom - Medieval Mischief and Mayhem or 5723 LEGO Creator Knights' Kingdom.
Background[]
In Medieval Mischief and Mayhem, King Leo talks to a soldier about his defenses and states that Benjamin Bones is the last line of defense for his treasure. The soldier skeptically declares that Benjamin Bones is a myth, unaware of Benjamin watching him through a window. Later, after Cedric the Bull reaches the throne room, he comes face-to-face with Benjamin Bones, who pops out from under King Leo's throne and scares him away.
In LEGO Creator Knights' Kingdom, Benjamin Bones makes a cameo appearance in the cutscene that plays upon completing Workshop Challenge 5. he teleports into the scene while John of Mayne is building a structure. As a prank, Benjamin replaces a brick with a stick of dynamite before teleporting away. In the game's instruction manual, it is mentioned under the "Minifigures and Animals" section that Benjamin Bones "rattle[s] about" without holding anything, suggesting that he may also be the helmeted Skeleton Soldier that appears in-game.
