Class 2 article

Bifur is an dwarf minifigure from the The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey theme released in November of 2012.

Description

Bifur has a mainly light brown torso with printing of a large brown belt with a dark grey buckle. His hands, as is his head, are light nougat. The dwarf's head, while mostly covered by the new hair/beard piece, has bushy black eyebrows and eyes with white dots for reflection. His beard and hair are one piece, new to LEGO and exclusive to him. It the upper section, that which resides on the top and sides of his head, is black and has a small silver sliver on the left side depicting an axe head. The beard section is grey with black flecks and travels down his front, covering his chest. Bifur has short brown legs and a shorter variation of the standard minifigure cape to accommodate his small size.

Background

Bifur was one of the twelve dwarven companions of Thorin Oakenshield II on his quest to reclaim the Lonely Mountain - and the gold that was their birthright - from the dragon Smaug. Along with his fellow companions, Bifur fought Wargs, Goblins and many more creatures and beings to achieve their goal. He was the cousin of Bofur and Bombur and was distantly related to the other dwarves. He could not speak because of the axe embedded in his head and communicated instead by way of grunts and hand motions.
