Workshop and family house ca.1924
In 1916, Ole Kirk Christiansen returned to Denmark from Norway and, using his savings, he bought the Billund Maskinsnedkeri og Tømrerforretning (The Billund Carpentry Shop and Lumberyard), which was originally established in 1895. It served as his wood-shop and home.
