Background[]
Lucas Bishop hails from an alternate future where mutants were at one point rounded up and put into concentration camps. Because of this, he has an "M" branding over his right eye. As an adult, by which time the regime that imprisoned him had been overthrown, he joined the Xavier Security Enforcers to help keep the peace.
While chasing the temporal criminal Trevor Fitzroy back in time, Bishop met the X-Men. Shortly after this, Professor X offered him a spot on the team.
While typically a serious and driven individual, Bishop holds a deep admiration for heroes from "the past", often getting rather excited upon meeting them. He has also developed a long-term rivalry with fellow time-traveling mutant Cable, though the two have more recently settled their differences.
