The Black Knight, or Mr. Wickles, is one of the villains in Hanna-Barbera's Scooby-Doo franchise. This minifigure was released in August 2015 as part of the Scooby-Doo theme.
Description[]
The minifigure features a black dual sided head, featuring glowing eyes on one side and a human face on the other. The Knight features a dark grey helmet with red plume and an armor piece over the torso.
Background[]
The Black Knight was first encountered by Scooby and Shaggy as they were walking home from the cinema. The suit of armor, which was found in the driver's seat of an abandoned truck, was taken to the county museum. There Mr. Wickles, the museum curator, would explain to the gang that the armor comes to life during the full moon and is responsible for the disappearance of fellow museum employee Prof. Hyde White.
Unsatisfied with this explanation Mystery Incorporated decided to break into the museum to look into the case. While there they discovered that the museums paintings were being switched out with fakes by a master forger. The Black Knight armor would then come to life to try to scare away the meddling teens.
Ultimately the Black Knight would be caught and revealed to be Mr. Wickles. He had kidnapped the Prof. to stop him from revealing his counterfeiting scheme and donned it a second time when Mystery Incorporated tried to intervene.
