The Blacksmith,[1] also known as Crossbow,[2] is a Knights' Kingdom minifigure introduced in 2006.

Description[]

The Blacksmith has a plain black torso with exposed bright yellow arms and black gloves. He has short reddish brown legs, giving him a diminutive stature. He wears a black Mini Knights Helmet. His head features a sneering facial expression, which is reused from Karzon.

In LEGO Quest & Collect, Crossbow has a slightly different design compared to his physical minifigure. Rather than being plain, his torso is printed with a variation of a King's Knight torso from the 2013 Castle theme.

Background[]

The Blacksmith works in his workshop beneath the royal throne room, where he uses his hammer, fireplace, and anvil to forge weapons and armor.

In LEGO Quest & Collect, Crossbow is a physical attacker with the skills "Dancing Bolts", "Quick Shot", and "Blind Removal". Rather than being a blacksmith, he is characterized as one of the castle guards, wishing for an attack so that he can use his eponymous crossbow against his enemies. The intro cutscene shows Crossbow, Ms. Dagger, and Slinger standing alongside the Mad Creator during his attack on Brickworld.

Notes[]

  • In one of the official photos of 10176 King's Castle, the blacksmith is erroneously depicted with Johnny Thunder's face from Orient Expedition, which is actually intended for one of the castle guards instead.

NAME: Crossbow
THEME: CASTLE
Able to fire a bolt faster than anyone else in the Castle, Crossbow has been promoted to patrolling the castle walls every night. It's slow, tedious work, though Crossbow dreams of the day the fortress comes under siege and he can fire his weapon at enemies.
