I am talking about not only the same uniform but the same facial hair
Once again, it has to do with the time period. It was the style then.

This time I have to agree, what theme is Fuller from? Lone Ranger? Wow, Gisnep Disney sure is original.
Dude, I hate doing this, but I have to do what is right. Its not Disney's fault.TLR was a show in the 50s so Disney just made a movie about it and had all the characters in it, so, there not Disney's fault

Specifically cavalry officers.

Yes youre right but he could have been a lower rank since Custer was a Lieutanant Colonel or as ErklonJay likes to call him, a "General"
Now that's a person who doesn't pay attention in history class

He was a General at Little Big Horn. During his Civil war service he was a Lt. Colone.
I haven't seen much of the lone ranger tv show, but was Custer a villian in there. Because I just saw the movie and Fuller is a villian in it.

But he was a general at his moment of fame.
