The Bone King was leader of a group of Skulkin following the events of the Merge. While on their way to the Wyldness in search of one of the Dragon Energy Cores, Kai and Wyldfyre encountered them. Wyldfyre, ever mischievous, stole the Skulkin's sacred gems, and the Bone King and his fellows responded by throwing the pair of Elemental Masters into a death trap. The two managed to escape the pit, and Wyldfyre admitted her deed and returned the gems. However, when the Bone King extended a hand to make peace, Wyldfyre set her own hand ablaze, aggravating the Bone King. Kai and Wyldfyre promptly beat a hasty retreat.
