This is Brickipedia's requests for chat moderator page, on which any user may request chat moderator rights. Chat moderators have the ability to kick and ban users from chat who are being disruptive.

If you are considering nominating yourself for chat moderator, please read through the checklist to make sure that you meet the criteria.

To file a request, place the following code under the "current requests" header, above any existing requests.

Requests made on this page are a vote, meaning that if they achieve at least 80% support then they will be closed as successful. Opposers must provide reasons for opposing. Most requests last for around a week, unless there is clear consensus either way after a short period of time.

If a user has been nominated for chat moderator before, add 2 to the end of the topic header. For users with multiple requests, add the respective number of the request. It is also considered good practice to link to previous requests for rights when nominating a user.

I have held the position of chat mod in the past and gained support due to my mainspace edits and chatroom presence. I elected to have my rights removed when I left the wiki for temporary hiatus (for school/exams/personal affairs). While I begin my return to the wiki, I have decided to request chat mod rights to pick up where I left off. From the desk of Br1ck an1mator 10:34, November 19, 2013 (UTC)

Amendment: I'd like to clarify, I did have chat Moderator rights when I left the wiki. I am requesting chat moderator rights because I have become dedicated to the community and feel like it would be beneficial for the community for me to donate my time and efforts in making chat a better place, enforcing the chat policies, and engaging further with the community. I understand that I'm barely over the minimum requirements, but I've watched this wiki for several months, and I only joined when I realised that anonymous contributing had been turned off. I then realised that a live chat was available to registered users, which I immediately joined, and have been active in every day since I joined. Since I had been on this wiki as an anonymous user for several months, I have a good understanding of the members of the community and the policies this wiki has set. I also think that if I were to be a chat moderator, it would add a nice diversity to the team of moderators, as I have been told that I would be the only AFOL on the chat moderator team (this is of course not counting the administrator team, though I have had some great conversations with them). Anyways, I figured I'd put up this request for the reasons I just listed. I hope that the community accepts and approves of this request, as I feel like my time and efforts being volunteered would positively impact the community. Cheers!   If he is an AFOL which means adult, you'd expect him to read the rules and understand how to follow them, assume good faith and if they aren't fit for the job it's alright. Nuff

  Well, I have three things: Czech, the reason Jeyo opposed is mainly gut. Is it wrong for him to oppose, considering I told him that some of his reasons aren't quite "valid"? Nope. I said they aren't "valid" as I can easily dispute it. I have no problem with the opposition though. Two: Ogel, this has nothing to do with contributing. And even if that were the case, you probably would've made an account sooner. Three: Nuff. Yes, I know what AFoL means. He is a bit too educated in my opinion. Most adults would read through and understand and not get that into it.

Edward Nigma (2)

Edward is a mature and active chatter, far more active than he was when his first nomination took place. He's often on in times when most/all mods are away, and he would do well with these rights.
