Requests: Chat Moderator - Administrator - Bureaucrat - Rollback and Patroller

This is Brickipedia's requests for chat moderator page, on which any user may request chat moderator rights. Chat moderators have the ability to kick and ban users from chat who are being disruptive.

If you are considering nominating yourself for chat moderator, please read through the checklist to make sure that you meet the criteria.

To file a request, place the following code under the "current requests" header, above any existing requests.

Requests made on this page are a vote, meaning that if they achieve at least 80% support then they will be closed as successful. Opposers must provide reasons for opposing. Most requests last for around a week, unless there is clear consensus either way after a short period of time.

If a user has been nominated for chat moderator before, add 2 to the end of the topic header. For users with multiple requests, add the respective number of the request. It is also considered good practice to link to previous requests for rights when nominating a user.

Never have I ever seen someone more mature and friendly on chat (except maybe Meiko when he first joined :P ). He's been here more than a year, he's on chat a lot, clearly knows the rules, makes good, needed edits, and is just simply dedicated, mature, and worthy of a few extra buttons to make this chat a better place. • Tbh, the rules regarding RfR's could probably do with centralising and sorting, as people keep citing rules I thought we'd never had/dropped a year ago, etc. ~ CJC 21:18, August 1, 2013 (UTC)

• I thought we stopped using that in maybe 2011 or early 2012, when there was a big push on consensus, I didn't realise it still said it at the top of the page. I think 80% is a rather arbitrary target to be fair. If I have to close stuff, and it is not clear cut, I'd just take into accounts reasons for opposes and supports and judge it on that. (or, UCS.) Anyway, this is something that belongs on a forum and not here, so I guess we should stop discussing it here :P ~ CJC 21:32, August 1, 2013 (UTC)

• I was ignoring this discussion before, until I read that the 80% rule wasn't still in place. When I only had like 1 opposer and 6 supporters before CGCJ came in, I asked Ajr about that rule, because if that wasn't in place that meant it was successful. He said it was still in place, and that when I got 80% I could contact him and I'd get the rights. I was told by a few users that I should renominate myself. So, that's what I'm gonna do. :P This is my second request, my first one is located in the archive.

I'm MsD, a user and editor of Brickipedia since October of 2011. First things first, the checklist.

• Have you been on Brickipedia for more than a few months, and made one hundred contributions to articles here?

Yep, and I have more than 760 mainspace edits, with quality enough to earn me patroller and rollback rights, and administrator at Wikianswers LEGO. This helps show my dedication towards the LEGO wikis and my means to make this chat a better place as well.

• Do you regularly participate responsibly on chat?

Yep. I'm on most every day, help new users, and I don't spam. And even when I am angry (which doesn't happen a lot), I have lots of self-control.

• Do you already try your hardest to make chat a better place?

Yes. I don't spam, I don't pick fights with people, I like to talk, and I don't really have any "enemies". :3

Now for some extra stuff. Despite some of the opposes I got, I'm not a spammer. In fact, I revert spam almost every day. I don't troll, either. :P Now, during the incident with Clone and CM4S I was pretty angry, but me and CM4S get along now and Clone doesn't really talk to me anymore. So, I don't hold grudges, which is a good thing for a ChatMod. I am always willing to help anyone who needs it, as I am knowledgeable with things relating to LEGO and Wikis. Also, those of you that neutral'd and opposed me because I'm a LMBW-er, I'm not, and I requested a permablock there. I'd love to voulenteer as a CM here, and I think I'd do well with these rights, as do Meiko, Jeyo, LFY, and Nuff. :D MsD^talk 19:18, August 3, 2013 (UTC)

1. Just not yet. You've been doing great, but the occasional problems are not good ones. For example, you left in a fit after your first RfCM was not going the direction you intended, blamed it on two user's, and left dramatically. I would love to be chat mod so if there is a chat raid I can stop it unlike the ERB wiki where there was a terrible raid.Also I would stay on chat when other chat mods are off because I live in NZ and the time zone is different. SamisFusion Out 06:22, August 6, 2013 (UTC)
