Robert Bruce Banner, also known as The Hulk, is a minifigure in the Marvel Super Heroes theme. He has originally appeared in a Disney XD Short and two LEGO Marvel games. He has made two physical appearances in sets 76084 The Ultimate Battle For Asgard (2017) and 76104 The Hulkbuster Smash-Up (2018).
Description[]
TV Short[]
He has black hair. His face has cheek bones and a serious expression. He has an all flesh torso, printed with muscles. The legs are printed with tan ripped pants and bare feet.
Video Game[]
Based on his appearance in The Avengers, Bruce has Anakin Skywalker's Clone Wars hairpiece in black. His face is a smiling expression with bags under his eyes. He is wearing a purple shirt and has tan pants.
The Hulk is able to transform into Banner to perform more mundane tasks he is too large for, such as climbing ladders and building LEGO bricks.
Minifigure[]
Bruce wears the clothes that once belong to Tony Stark which consists of a white shirt with black pants with matching suit jacket. Unlike his appearance in the movie, the shirt in this variant did not include the album cover of Duran Duran's Rio.
Background[]
Bruce Banner was working on recreating the super soldier serum (which created Captain America) with gamma radiation.There was a lab accident and Bruce almost died saving a friend from a gamma explosion. This caused exposure to gamma radiation. He overdosed and became a huge green monster, and almost killing his girlfriend Betty Ross and her father, General Ross.
Bruce fled and hid in various countries for years to avoid General Ross, who wanted the Hulk as a weapon. He had to deal with the Abomination, a soldier that had taken different serums to become stronger than the Hulk.
Later, Bruce was recruited by the Black Widow and Nick Fury to help locate the stolen Tesseract (Cosmic Cube), and be a part of a team called the Avengers, which also consisted of Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow and Hawkeye.
After the battle between Loki and the Chitauri, he was introduced to Rhodey.
He helps Tony Stark in therapy while he is recounting the trauma involving Aldrich Killian.
