Buildable Galaxy (also called Star Wars Planets or Planet sets) is a series of twelve planets, minifigures and ships designed to create a Star Wars themed overhead space mobile.
History[]
Buildable Galaxy was a subtheme of Star Wars that began in 2012. Each Buildable Galaxy set comes with one Minifigure and accessory, a small micro model space ship, and a celestial body (Such as planets, space stations, asteroid fields or moons). Each figure is generally a redesign of a figure not re-released for several years, a figure only available in a high-priced set, or a figure that would not fit in an other set. Some also are an outlet for the creation of new pieces when not required in upcoming sets, however will be eventually. Because of this some fans have treated it as a Star Wars equivalent to the Minifigures (theme).
This subtheme was replaced in 2014 with Microfighters, a similar block of Star Wars mini models.

First wave of planets was released in January 2012 and it includes sets from Episode I and Episode VI.
All sets from series 1 are part of 5001136 Buildable Galaxy Collection.

- The TIE Pilot minifigure is included in two sets: series 1 9676 TIE Interceptor and series 3 75008 TIE Bomber.
- The 75006 Jedi Starfighter & Planet Kamino is the only set which includes droid (R4-P17) instead of minifigure (and without any minifigure accessories).
