The Chimpanzee[1][2] is an animal figure introduced in 2011.

Description[]

The chimpanzee sits on one stud. It is mainly black, par its face and ears. The chimpanzee is moulded as if it is sitting down. Its left hand is on its knee, and its right is over its head. The right hand is shaped like a normal minifigure hand and can hold minifigure accessories. The arm is designed so a minifigure can hold the chimpanzee. The chimpanzee's head is rounded as well as its ears. Inside the ears are flesh coloured semicircles. The chimpanzee's face takes up a large portion of the front of the head. It is flesh coloured. The face is smiling and has a curved black mouth, two black nostrils which are shaped like rectangles, its eyes are black with white pupils.

It is distinguishable from the Monkey because it is smaller, and has no tail. Some mistake it for the monkey, and accidentally label it so.

Background[]

One chimpanzee lives in the zoo, and is cared for by the Zookeeper. Another family of chimpanzees raised the Jungle Boy. Jane Goodall is famous for studying wild chimpanzees in Tanzania.
