Christopher Michael "Chris" Pratt (born June 21, 1979) is an American actor who voiced Emmet in The LEGO Movie and its sequel. He also starred in Guardians of the Galaxy as Star-Lord and in Jurassic World as Owen Grady.


Chris Pratt was born in Virginia, Minnesota on June 21, 1979 and raised in Lake Stevens, Washington.

Pratt was a waiter in Bubba Gump Shrimp Company when he was discovered by actor/director Rae Dawn Chong, who casted him in the film Cursed Part 3. This break started Chris' acting career.

He was formerly married to Anna Faris, and has a son named Jack Pratt.



Pratt is best known in film for his roles in Moneyball, Zero Dark Thirty, and The Five Year Engagement.

Pratt is the voice of Emmet in The LEGO Movie that came out in February 2014.

Pratt also starred as Peter Quill/Star-Lord in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, released in August 2014.

Pratt also starred as Owen Grady in Jurassic World, which was released in June 2015.

Pratt voiced Emmet and Rex Dangervest in The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part, released in February 2019.


Chris's first regular television role was on the series Everwood as Harold Brighton "Bright" Abbott. After Everwood was cancelled, Pratt joined the cast of The O.C. for its fourth season, portraying Ché. He portrays Andy Dwyer in NBC's Parks and Recreation. In The Batman, he voices Jake. In Ben 10: Alien Force, he voices Cooper.
