Crook Chuck,^[1] also known as Shoplifter^[2] and Sam,^[3] is a City Police minifigure released in 2016.

Description[]

He wears an orange prison outfit and has a black mustache. He wears a black beanie.

Background[]

Crook Chuck is a master of disguise and a shoplifter who is wanted for stealing sweets, drinks, and toys. When arrested and held in prison, he proves to be a model inmate who spends most of his time talking to other crooks about tunneling, reading about tunneling, or actually tunneling. He tries to escape the police using a tire. Although he is imprisoned at Prison Island with Jailbreaker, Ms. Crook and another crook break him out.

In the Escape from Prison Island book, Jailbreaker and two other crooks ask Sam to join them in their breakout. Sam declines, being more interested in working out and knowing that their plan was doomed to fail. Later, a prison guard disguised as Sam flies the crooks back to Prison Island in the hot air balloon, and the real Sam is not surprised to see the crooks arrested once again.

Crook Chuck appears in LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed as an early-game tank with the abilities Chain Link Gang, Getting Swole to Be Whole, Crowbar Cake for 1 and The Muscle.

A street-smart tank who's got no problem takin' a couple shots to the chin. While Chuck's outside may seem cold and impenetrable, he actually has a heart of solid gold, in that it's also cold and impenetrable.

Trivia
A shining example of our justice system, Chuck was always a model inmate -- spending most of his time reading (about tunneling), chatting with other prisoners (about tunneling), and trying to stay fit (via tunneling). If he ever actually manages to evade the police for longer than a few hours, he could have a pretty promising career in landscaping. Way to work on a new you, Chuck!
