Background[]
Hobbits love to sneak into Farmer Maggot's fields to grab a handful of his crops. It's almost a pastime for Hobbits, especially the cousins Merry and Pippin. (Although they usually take more than a handful!) They also passed through with Frodo Baggins and Samwise Gamgee on their way to Bree.
