LEGO Pirates: Treasure of the Islands is a custom video game of Pirates theme. It was created by Shiva.
Gameplay[]
The player progresses through a number of levels following a linear plot, but can return to the levels later on in free play mode, using any of all of the playable characters they unlocked up until that point and in addition, there are a variety of side-levels to embark on. However, unlike previous LEGO games, in this game there's only single player. In the Story Mode, the player plays as the main protagonist of the game and in the Free Play they can play as any unlocked character.
LEGO Pirates: Treasure of the Islands contains a large open world that also acts as the game's hub. The open world is the world of Pirates (2009-2015). It's based in a small part of the Caribbean Sea with many islands and towns on their territories. These territories officially belong to the Empire (with DLC «The Legend of Governor Broadside» downloaded there are more territories, which now belong to the Kingdom, a close neighbor and often an enemy to the Empire) and are often attacked by pirates. In order to travel from one island to another, the player must sail on the ship through the sea.
There is a Character Creator in LEGO Pirates. The player can create his own character using accessories of other characters able for them.
Plot[]
In the main plot player's character is a simple sailor, who arrives at the lands of the Empire and sails into the town of Guadeloupe. In the tavern, in order to proceed further in the main plot, sailor must choose faction to join: Pirates or Imperial Soldiers. Through the main plot, appearance of the player's character will be changing, it depends on the faction player chose. For example, in the plot of Imperials sailor was promoted to the captain, so in the next levels he will look like Imperial Captain. However, the player still can buy his appearance in the opposite faction.
Pirates[]
Sailor chooses Pirates and sits with Captain Brickbeard in the tavern. They have a short dialogue and then Brickbeard takes sailor into his crew. Next morning, sailor boards the Brickbeard's Bounty. There he meets the crew and starts his new voyage, with new crew and a new goal — become the greatest pirate who ever lived.
Pirates plan an attack on Guadeloupe. Sailor's mission is simple: he should lead the ship to the town and after that he and other pirates will attack the fort of the town. At the morning pirates attack the fort. However, navigator of the ship is shot and the player's character takes the rule of Brickbeard's Bounty. Soon the ship comes close to the port and crew, led by Brickbeard, scale the walls of the fort, the player is no exception. Sailor then finds the fort commander and challenges him for a duel, where commander loses and is then defeated. The garrison flees in panic and pirates plunder the town of Guadeloupe.
Happy crew returns to their ship. Everyone is glad that the crew has a man like the player's sailor. Brickbeard promotes sailor to the ranks of Imperial Captain and a Lieutenant of the crew. Promotion with Imperial ranks surprises sailor, but not the crew.
Pirates sail through the sea, trying to find something interesting. Soon enough, the sea-master finds an Imperial Flagship, which turns out to be the ship of Admiral Woodhouse himself. Brickbeard orders to attack the Flagship. Pirates do so, however they are unsuccessful. Admiral makes the crew flee. The crew is disappointed. However, during the attack, Lieutenant (the player's character) sneaks into the ship and steals the valuable papers from Admiral. There is written that Woodhouse plans to meet the Emperor who returns to the Capital after sailing to damaged Guadeloupe. Everyone in the crew understands, that without the Emperor it's easier to steal something interesting from his palace. Brickbeard's Bounty quickly sails to the Capital.
In the Capital, crew finds a shortcut to the palace. It lies through the Mystical Tunnel. The crew, led by brave Lieutenant, goes through the tunnel of skeletons and proceeds to the palace dungeon. There they fight some guards and then sneak to the treasury. After stealing big cut of gold, Lieutenant finds a piece of an ancient map. He starts to study it and finds a part of the red marker, however this map is not full, and Lieutenant can't understand what is marked there and where is it marked. Suddenly, guards detect pirates and attempt to stop them. Pirates escape from the palace, but only Lieutenant and his friend Black Jack Hawkins survive. Lieutenant shows him a piece of map he found. Jack says that he saw something familiar and then remembers that he has piece of an ancient map too. Lieutenant and Jack combine pieces and realize that these are pieces of the same map. Pirates hurry to the Bounty.
When they return to the surface, they see some members of the crew peeking on something at the port. Lieutenant and Jack join them and see the Emperor, who arrives at the port of the Capital and is met by Admiral Woodhouse and some Imperial Soldiers. Then one soldier runs close to the Emperor and in hurry reports him that the palace treasury was robbed by pirates and «the secret map» was stolen. The Emperor seems to be disappointed. Meanwhile, Lieutenant orders other pirates to quickly return to the Bounty and sail away.
Lieutenant and Jack discuss the pieces of the map they found. They decide to look on a map of the Empire and find something related to the ancient map. However, they are unsuccessful. Jack then offers a strange idea: come to the Emperor's palace and ask him about the map. At first, Lieutenant thinks that it's crazy idea but still agrees. They take inform Brickbeard about their leave and then take the boat and swim to the Capital.
They arrive at the Capital. Lieutenant takes on his Captain uniform and proceeds to the Emperor. He confesses that he stole the piece of the map and asks him about it. The Emperor tells that the ancient treasure of the Islands is buried somewhere in the lands of the Empire. Recently he found one piece of the map and was interested to see what does the treasure look like. The Emperor then tells Lieutenant to find the treasure on his own but asks him to promise that he'll show him the treasure. Lieutenant gives his promise. After that, he leaves the palace and tells everything to Jack. They both return to the Bounty.
Lieutenant tells Brickbeard about the map and the information about it, which he gained from the Emperor. Brickbeard then hurries to his chest and brings last piece of the map. Delighted by the information Lieutenant gained from the Emperor himself and by the completed combined map, Brickbeard promotes Lieutenant to the Imperial Lieutenant and to his First Mate.
First Mate, Jack and Brickbeard study the ancient map and find the place with the ancient treasure. Bounty hurries to that place, however ship is attacked by Admiral Woodhouse. The crew attempts to flee but instead they face more problems: Bounty comes close to the fort of the town of Trinidad, where the crew is attacked by Governor Hacienda and his soldiers. During the battle, First Mate duels both Woodhouse and then Hacienda, while Brickbeard and Jack kidnap Admiral's Daughter and then the crew sails away.
Daughter, Camilla, is scared. First Mate comes to her and promises that he'll save her. Camilla then calms down and thanks First Mate. First Mate then talks to Brickbeard and tells that he'll deal with Woodhouse. Captain is not sure about this but still agrees with his First Mate and lets him do what he wants. At night, First Mate takes on his Imperial Lieutenant uniform, then he takes Camilla to the boat and they sail to the closest town, Barbados.
During their sail, Camilla thanks First Mate a lot for saving her. He asks her to ask her father to leave them if he doesn't want that to be repeated and she agrees. When they arrive at the town, First Mate accompanies Camilla to the palace of Governor Broadside. Camilla tells, that her friend is Mary, Governor's Daughter, and she will stay with her until her father arrives. First Mate begs her for forgiveness and Camilla forgives him and the crew. She then leaves a kiss to First Mate and asks him to visit her later.
Upon leaving the town, First Mate remembers about the map and about the pirate fleet, which will arrive at the port of Barbados soon. He stays up in the tavern for one night and then, at the morning, the crew arrives. Brickbeard walks off the ship alone and tells that only he and First Mate will go after the treasure, because the rest of the crew are seriously wounded. When they cross the town and proceed into the jungle, they hear a voice calling Brickbeard and turn around. They see Broadside, who asks Brickbeard, why did he kidnap Camilla. Brickbeard answers that someday he'll gain his punishment. Then governor tells that he wants to meet his old friend once again and leaves them.
First Mate then asks Brickbeard if he is connected to the Imperial Government. He is wondering where did he gain the right of promotion in the Imperial ranking and why did Governor Broadside tell him about his old friend. Brickbeard then tells his story, that his real name is Loyolla and he is the governor of the town of Margarita. He had many conflicts with the Imperial Government, usually about the status of his town: Margarita could hardly survive because of the wars and other pirates. The Emperor could help him a little bit because of the situations with the wars and Governor Broadside helped him with only ways he could. Other members of the Government didn't want to help Governor Loyolla, so he decided to take revenge on them, becoming the infamous pirate, Captain Brickbeard, and plundering towns of governors. After Brickbeard tells his story, he and First Mate get into the trap.
Then Islanders appear and imprison them in the wooden cage. Islanders take pirates to King Kahuka, who asks pirates what are they doing on his territories. Loyolla tells him about the ancient treasure and Kahuka then answers that this is all just a legend. Then he tells that someone of them will be killed during the ritual, which will be performed the next day.
At night, Loyolla wakes up First Mate. He tells that he promised to his friend to face his punishment, so he'll go to face his own death in the ritual. First Mate doesn't want to let him do this, but still agrees on this. Governor Loyolla then promotes his First Mate to Imperial Admiral, Pirate Captain and a new Governor of Margarita. Then he helps Captain to escape and gives him his epaulets, key chain and the ancient map. Loyolla knows that the treasure is not a legend and assures Captain with that. They say goodbye to each other and then Captain escapes.
At the morning, Captain finds the cave with the ancient treasure. However, King Kahuka and some Islanders appear to stop him, but are defeated. Captain takes the whole treasure and returns to the ship, now as the new captain of the crew and as the new governor of Margarita. Later he marries Camilla and becomes the greatest pirate who ever lived.
Imperial Soldiers[]
Sailor sits with Lt. de Martinet in the tavern. After a short dialogue lieutenant offers the sailor to join the Imperial Army and sailor agrees. Next day he comes into the fort of the town of Guadeloupe.
Soon the fort is attacked by Brickbeard's pirates. De Martinet orders his men to board one of the ships and fight back. Some soldiers board a small ship and player's sailor takes ship's steering wheel. Soldiers shoot at Brickbeard's Bounty, however it's useless and a ship starts sinking into the water. Everyone hurries to escape, but only a few of them, including sailor, manage to do it. Then these men, sailor and De Martinet save the rest of men. Meanwhile, pirates scale the walls of the fort. Pirates fight guardsmen and one of their lieutenants manages to defeat the fort commander. The garrison starts fleeing, however only sailor remains at the fort. He fights pirates and defeats that lieutenant. This encourages the garrison and soldiers make pirates flee.
Although pirates are fleeing, town of Guadeloupe is damaged. Governor Idalod informs the Emperor about pirates' attack and the Emperor answers that he will visit Guadeloupe . Idalod then promotes sailor to the rank of Imperial Captain and gives him very important mission: head to the Capital with Admiral Woodhouse, then meet there the Emperor after his visit to Guadeloupe and continue serving him at the Capital. Soon Admiral arrives on Imperial Flagship and takes Captain to the Capital.
While they are sailing, pirates suddenly attack Flagship but are unsuccessful. However, during the attack, Captain sees someone sneaking in the Flagship. After attack, Captain hears Admiral's shout and hurries to him. Admiral says that the ship's log is missing. Captain realizes that it was stolen by pirates. Woodhouse tells that with that ship's log pirates now know that the Emperor is away so they can easily steal something interesting from his palace. Imperial Flagship hurries to the Capital.
Small squad of Imperial Guards, led by Imperial Captain, hurries to the palace. Soldiers soon detect some pirates and defeat them. Captain comes to the treasury but nobody is there. There he finds a strange piece of an ancient map. He takes it and looks at it. In the corner Captain finds a part of the red marker. Soon pirates come to the treasury and attempt to flee, but fail. Captain defeats everybody but one (Black Jack Hawkins), who pleads for mercy. Captain spares him and that pirate gives to Captain another piece of map, which Captain found earlier. Then Imperial Guards appear and capture Jack, but Jack, instead of resisting, thanks Captain again and promises to help him someday.
Soon, the ship, supposed to be the Emperor's ship, arrives at the port of the Capital and is met by Admiral Woodhouse and Imperial Captain. However, it is the ship of Governor Broadside of the town of Barbados, who wants to meet the Emperor too and discuss with him the situation about pirates. After that, the Emperor returns to the Capital and is met by Governor Broadside, Admiral Woodhouse, Lt. de Martinet, Imperial Captain and some soldiers. The Emperor is happy to see them and happily greets everyone. Then governor of Barbados tells the Emperor about their discussion and Admiral and Lieutenant tells the Emperor about their new Captain, who is so great, that he needs promotion. Captain is silent until everyone leaves the Emperor in his palace. Then Captain asks about a piece of an ancient map he found in the treasury during pirates' raid. The Emperor then tells that this is a map of an ancient treasure of the Islands, which is buried somewhere in the lands of the Empire. Recently he found one piece of the map and was interested to see what does the treasure look like. The Emperor then tells Captain to find the treasure on his own but asks him to promise that he'll show him the treasure. Captain gives his promise. Then the Emperor promotes him to the rank of Imperial Lieutenant and Captain, now Lieutenant, leaves the palace.
Governor Broadside offers Lieutenant service to Barbados and Lieutenant agrees. Governor tells Lieutenant to wait him at the Imperial Flagship and leaves. Lieutenant heads to the ship, but suddenly Captain Brickbeard appears on his way. He pleads Lieutenant to free his pirates from the jail, because he wants to punish him on his own. When Lieutenant asks why, Brickbeard answers, that he didn't allow pirates to come to the palace, but they did and died or were imprisoned. Lieutenant then frees them and Brickbeard then gives one last piece of the map in exchange.
Delighted Lieutenant hurries to the Flagship and meets there Broadside, Woodhouse and de Martinet. They sail to Barbados. During their trip, Lieutenant shows Broadside his map and governor recognizes that place shown on the map: treasure is buried in the jungle, which is near his town.
At night, the ship stops at the nice town of Margarita. Admiral tells Lieutenant that the governor of this town is missing, however after he disappeared, once poor town became very nice and rich enough. When everybody, except Lieutenant, goes to the tavern to sleep, Lieutenant takes a walk in the town. He suddenly sees Governor Broadside, who is standing in front of the palace of Margarita's governor. He tells him that Governor Loyolla of Margarita was his good old friend but now they don't see each other. He then tells the story about Loyolla. Lieutenant is shocked a little. They both stay silent and look at the palace. After a short time, they go to sleep.
At the morning, Imperial Flagship arrives at Barbados and is met by Mary, governor's daughter. She seems interested in Imperial Lieutenant and at the palace he makes a pleasant conversation with her. Soon the ship of Governor Hacienda of the town of Trinidad arrives at the port. Hacienda reports that his town was attacked by pirates and suspects Broadside in that: after some pirates were imprisoned he appeared in the town, where they were imprisoned, and, afterwards, they were mystically freed from the jail. Also Barbados was never attacked by pirates. Hacienda then challenges Broadside for a duel. Mary, who knows the story of Governor Loyolla, attempts to stop him, but Lieutenant stops her and tells that he has a better idea. Earlier he saw Brickbeard's Bounty sailing nearby and while Lieutenant distracts Hacienda's attention, Broadside and Mary can signal them to the coast. After that he whispers the next plan to Mary's ear and they start acting.
Imperial Lieutenant challenges Governor Hacienda for a duel. They both duel and Lieutenant seems to be dominating. While they duel, Broadside signals pirates and Mary tells everyone in the town to hide in their houses and do not be afraid of anything. After Brickbeard and his crew come to the coast, Broadside asks his old friend to play a fake attack on his town. Brickbeard agrees and his crew does so. Hacienda then stops duelling and sees attacking pirates and attempts to stop them, but when they see him, they flee. However, during the attack, one pirate, who didn't understand anything, kidnaps Mary. Lieutenant takes the boat and hurries to Brickbeard's Bounty.
At the Bounty he duels pirates, except those, who were freed by him from the jail. They and Brickbeard return Mary back to Lieutenant and beg for his forgiveness. He forgives them and, with Mary, returns to the boat. However, that pirate, who still doesn't understand anything, challenges Lieutenant for a duel and loses there. He is then punished by his comrades. Lieutenant and Mary return to Barbados and there Mary gives Lieutenant a big kiss for saving her and the whole town. Governor Broadside promotes him to the rank of Imperial Admiral.
Soon Imperial Admiral remembers about his quest for the treasure and heads to the jungle. Governor Broadside decides to go with his Admiral. They soon get caught into the trap of Islanders.
Then Islanders appear and imprison them in the wooden cage. Islanders take Imperials to King Kahuka, who asks them what are they doing on his territories. Broadside tells him about the ancient treasure and Kahuka then answers that this is all just a legend. Then he tells that someone of them will be killed during the ritual, which will be performed the next day.
At night, Broadside wakes up Admiral. He tells that he'll go to face his own death in the ritual. Admiral doesn't want to let him do this, but still agrees on this. Governor Broadside then promotes his Imperial Admiral to Governor Admiral and Governor of Barbados. Then he helps Governor Admiral to escape and gives him his epaulets, key chain and the ancient map. Governor knows that the treasure is not a legend and assures Governor Admiral with that. They say goodbye to each other and then Governor Admiral escapes.
At the morning, Governor Admiral finds the cave with the ancient treasure. However, King Kahuka and some Islanders appear to stop him, but are defeated. Governor Admiral takes the whole treasure and returns to the town, now as the new governor of Barbados. He tells everyone about what he faced in the jungle. Soon Broadside's corpse is found.
After Governor Broadside's funeral, Captain Brickbeard, who was there, tells Governor Admiral, that he gave up with plundering and returned to his town as Governor Loyolla. Later, Governor Admiral marries Mary.

Famous Pirates is the DLC Level Pack for Pirates: The Video Game. It was created by Shiva too.
Level Pack contains new characters, new ships and levels with pirate captains from the classic era. It also adds more pirate havens on the world map.
Plot[]
Pirate Captain or Governor Admiral (player's choice) finds out, that the seas of the Empire are ruled by the most famous pirates, who now remain in their pirate havens and were inactive until Brickbeard's retirement. Now, when Brickbeard is no threat for them anymore, pirates decide to return and conquer the seas of the Empire once again.
The player sees pirate ship landing near the shipwreck hideout called A World's End. The player decides to come inside the captain cabin and meet the captain. It turns out, that the legendary Captain Redbeard is running the place and is going to banish his rivals on his flagship called Black Seas Barracuda. Redbeard confesses that even he was feared by dangerous Captain Brickbeard, even if Brickbeard was a fan of Redbeard. Captain then offers the player his alliance and the player immediately agrees. Then the legendary pirate gives his new partner a task: using Black Seas Barracuda, the player should attack Skull Island heaven, which belongs to Captain Ironhook. The player leads the ship to that haven and the crew with honor listens to his commands. While sailing, the crew sees Renegade Runner ship with Ironhook onboard. Barracuda attacks it and the player duels Ironhook. The player's crew is almost victorious, but Ironhook somehow manages to escape to his haven. Barracuda's crew still follows him and attacks the haven. During the battle, the ship Red Runner with Captain Jack Knife onboard appears to help the player. Finally, they manage to defeat Ironhook and capture his haven for Redbeard.
Jack Knife then offers his alliance to the player too and the player agrees too. Knife then tells the player to capture for him pirate haven Rock Island Refuge. The player sails to that haven and attacks it. He soon duels Captain Benjamin Kragg, who turns out to be the leader of the haven and a brother of Roger Kragg or Redbeard. Kragg is defeated and escapes, leaving the place to the player, who captures it for Jack Knife. While investigating captain's chest, the player finds a half of the treasure map, which turns out to be Ironhook's buried treasure map.
The player decides to return Black Seas Barracuda to its owner, Redbeard. When he arrives at A World's End, the player sees it attacked by Captain Kragg's crew. The player fights the enemy and soon Jack Knife joins him. In the captain's cabin, they both see dueling brothers. Soon enough, Captain Redbeard makes Captain Kragg flee again. While running away, Benjamin drops another half of the treasure map, and the player takes it and decides to find a buried treasure, after both captains thank him for his help.
Redbeard lets the player use his vessel again in order to find a treasure. The player follows a map to the jungle and finds a red cross on one stone. After a few hours of digging, the player and his crew discover Ironhook's buried treasure. Afterwards, the player finally returns Barracuda to Redbeard and offers him to take his cut of the treasure, but captain refuses. Redbeard also tells that he and his friend Jack Knife are going to become Imperial privateers.
