Shadow troopers, were an elite squadron of Stormtroopers that were equipped with experimental cloaking armour, which allowed them to appear to be invisible in nearly every environment. Several Shadow Troopers were present on the first Death Star, and fought against Darth Vader's former Apprentice, Galen Marek. Legions of Shadow Troopers were also used by the Director of Imperial Intelligence, Lord Blackhole, also known as Lord Shadowspawn, to combat the Rebel Alliance, and later the New Republic. Carnor Jax also used Shadow Troopers as a bodyguard eleven years after the Battle of Yavin.
