Darth Malak is a Star Wars Minifigure introduced in 2024. He is a character from the video game Knights of the Old Republic.

Background

Over four thousand years before the rise of the Empire, Malak joined his close friend Revan to help the Republic fight the Mandalorians during the Mandalorian Wars. Numerous Jedi joined them despite the protests of the Jedi Council. When Revan defeated Mandalore the Ultimate, they learned the Mandalorians had been tricked into war by the hidden Sith Empire and followed the remnants into the Unknown Regions.

While there, Revan and Malak were turned to the Dark Side by the Sith Emperor, Darth Vitiate, who tasked them with finding the Star Maps that would lead to the location of the ancient super factory, the Star Forge. Returning to the known galaxy, Revan and Malak would find the Star Forge, but use it for their own intentions. They declared war on the Republic, kickstarting the Jedi Civil War. But when Malak wanted to be the Master, Revan cut his jaw off to prove his superiority.

When a Jedi Strike Force boarded Revan's ship to capture the Sith Lord, Malak saw an opportunity to be rid of both the Jedi and his master and ordered his ship to fire on Revan's bridge. Though he thought him dead, Revan was recovered by the Jedi and had his memory wiped and remade as a loyal Republic soldier while Malak declared himself Dark Lord.

Malak would eventually be killed by the redeemed Revan aboard the Star Forge as the Sith Empire they created would fall apart.
