Dex,[1] also known as Maddox,[2][3] is an Extreme Team minifigure introduced in 1998.
Description[]
Dex has a black torso, gloves, legs, and Mini Visor 2; bright yellow hip; and white arms and Mini Crash Helmet. His Mini Crash Helmet is printed with a red and yellow flame pattern. His torso is printed with yellow jacket lines and a small Extreme Team logo on the front, and a large Extreme Team logo on the back. He has a smiling face with blue sunglasses.
In The Adventures of the LEGO Maniac, Dex is depicted with a white Mini U.S. Cap. When portrayed as a human in Time Cruisers, Maddox has stylish blond hair.

Daredevil Dex aims to break a new record with the Land Jet 7, racing down an aircraft runway faster than the speed of sound for 10 miles before hitting the brakes and parachuting.[1] He drives a monster truck to roll over rocks and other obstacles.[4] When climbing Mt. McKinley, Dex and Rex take the west path, although Dex vows never to take Rex's shortcuts again after crossing a rickety bridge. Upon reaching the summit, they are caught in a blizzard and need to be rescued by the LEGO Maniac, who transports them in the Aerial Recovery's net.[5]
In Time Cruisers, Maddox is portrayed with a reckless and cocky attitude, eager to proudly show off his stunts but at the cost of his own safety. The Extreme Team vehicles were modified by Dr. Cyber, who sent them to find Tim Timebuster in the Wild West. Maddox rescues Tim and Ingo from a waterfall in his monster truck. Although Tim and Ingo are wary of Maddox, they are impressed by his helicopter. He flies them back to base, but his reckless piloting results in the helicopter crashing into the mountain and catching fire. Maddox sends out an SOS, which is received by Res-Q. They are airlifted by the Aerial Recovery helicopter before the Extreme Team helicopter explodes. At the camp, after Tim demands an explanation, Maddox reveals that they were sent to find Tim because Dr. Cyber's brother, Professor Articus, needs his help in Egypt.

- Along with other members of Extreme Team, Dex seems to be the namesake of a World Racers X-Treme Daredevils character, DEX-treme.
- Dex is the only named member of Extreme Team who does not appear in the LEGO Adventures! Magazine comics.
